2010 GMC Canyon A/C Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Switch for the heater and air conditioning control on 2010 GMC Canyon?
A: Begin heater and air conditioning control replacement by taking out the accessory trim plate. Before proceeding detach the instrument panel through screw removal of the HVAC control assembly (7,2) pieces. The first steps involve disconnecting mode cables and temperature cables from the HVAC control assembly. The technicians must disengage the electrical connectors afterward. Install the new assembly after disassembling the HVAC control box then complete the electrical connectors before making sure none of the mode and temperature cables get bent during installation. To reinstall the HVAC control assembly put back the HVAC control assembly to the instrument panel after reattaching the mode cable and temperature cable. Place the HVAC control assembly screws with 1.9 Nm (18 lb in) torque values before you put back the accessory trim plate.
