Discontinue the body harness electrical connector from its attachment to the battery current sensor. First disconnect the negative Battery Cable frame by removing the nut from the ground ring terminal and then separating the ring terminal from the Battery Cable. Remove the battery current sensor by detaching the connector from the current sensor bracket. Then carefully slide it off the negative Battery Cable. Begin installation by placing the new battery current sensor onto the Battery Cable and securing it to the battery current sensor bracket . Tighten the negative Battery Cable frame ground nut to 25 nm (18 lb ft) before connecting the body harness electrical connector to the battery current sensor.
