To replace the cruise release switch, you should remove the lh sound insulator and the lh front floor air outlet duct. Pull the brake lever and press the switch lugs while taking off the switch from the rear of the Brake Pedal bracket and unbolt the switch harness connector. Installation is as simple as pulling approximately 2.3 in on the locking sleeve to extend actuating pin fully and attach switch connector. While pressing the Brake Pedal, mount the switch into the Brake Pedal bracket so that it is seated fully until it locks with the lugs snapping. The switch adjusting pin would self adjust when the Brake Pedal returns back to a non-applied position. Lift the Brake Pedal up and push the locking sleeve into the switch. Lastly, reinstall the lh front floor air outlet duct and the lh sound insulator, and finally check the operation of cruise control system.
