How to service and repair the Steering Angle Sensor on Cadillac Seville?

The service process for the Steering Angle Sensor begins with disabling the sir system. Begin by removing the Steering Column from the vehicle before disconnecting the steering shaft seal followed by the sensor retainer and steering wheel position sensor then two lower spring retainers along with lower bearing spring and lower bearing seat and adapter and bearing assembly from the steering shaft. Reinstallation requires insertion of the adapter and bearing assembly and lower bearing seat and lower bearing spring and two lower spring retainers and steering wheel position sensor on the steering shaft then install the sensor retainer followed by the steering shaft seal. Enable the sir system following installation then reinstall the Steering Column before repeating the sir system enablement.
