How to replace the headlight assembly or headlight bulb or cornering, sidemarker, park, and turn signal bulb on Cadillac XLR?

If you need to replace the headlamp assembly or headlamp bulb or cornering, sidemarker, park, and turn signal bulb, start by opening the hood and disconnect the connector position assurance (CPA) from the electrical connector to the headlamp wiring harness and then disconnect the electrical connector. Then replace the front fascia close-out panel and remove the nuts that hold the headlamp assembly to the front wheelhouse and remove the headlamp from the wheelhouse. Continue removing the park/turn bulb/socket its rotation being counterclockwise and then pull out the bulb from inserting it in the socket. Repeat the same process for the side marker bulb/socket and the position bulb/socket. For installation, push the bulb into the socket and rotate the park/turn bulb/socket clockwise completely, followed the side marker and position them. Replace the headlamp wiring harness back to wheelhouse with the rubber grommet in place, in case it chafes. Mount the headlamp to the wheelhouse and fasten using nuts by tightening to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Connect the electrical connector to headdamwl wiring harness, install the CPA to the headdam electrical connector, and reinstall the front fascia panel. Lastly, check the headlamp just to ensure its operation and alignment if required, before closing the hood.
