How to replace the A/C Orifice Tube on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500?

To replace the A/C orifice tube, recover the refrigerant and defeat the nut from the evaporator tube fitting. Use the J26549-E to extract the A/C orifice tube from the evaporator tube. Cap or plug the line open then uncap and unplug the evaporator tube, add a new o-ring seal. Fit new A/C orifice short screen end into evaporator tube and connect evaporator tube at fitting, tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Lastly, evacuate and recharge the system and carry out a leak test on the fittings of the repaired component by means of Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A).
