The A/C Orifice Tube Remover (J 26549-E) enables technicians to extract the A/C orifice tube from the evaporator tube after loosening the fitting nut. Cap or plug the open line. To perform installation you need to first uncap or unplug the evaporator tube after which you should install the new O-ring along with inserting the short-screened end of the new A/C orifice tube to the evaporator. Fitting of the evaporator tube requires torque at 25 N.m until it reaches 18 lb ft tightness. To conclude this process evacuate the system while recharging it before testing fittings with the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A).
