Chevrolet Aveo Intake Valve Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: What tools are required for Exhaust Valve and Intake Valve service and repair on Chevrolet Aveo?
A: The required tools for valve service and repair include km-571-b (Gage), km-805 (Valve Guide Reamer), and km-340-1-c (Cutter Set). A valve grinding tool needs fine paste on the valve stem before the technician lifts the valve repeatedly from its seat. Check the contact points on the valve head and Cylinder Head before cleaning all valve components. Examine if burning from grinding appears on the valve cone while also verifying two regrinds before touching the valve stem and validating the 45-degree angle at the valve face. Verify the position of the intake and exhaust valves from top to bottom. Use the km-571-b gage to check the valve guide size while working with a standard inside micrometer and understand operational valve sizes during production. A valve guide code shows exactly what size valve stem and valve guide require while the valve guide reaming table lists all matching production details. Remove the valve guide using the km-805 (Valve Guide Reamer) from the top of the Cylinder Head until your reach the next valve size then delete the original stamp and emboss the new valve guide design. Rest the Cylinder Head on wood blocks and use km-340-1-c to cut valve seats by turning the km-340-7 cutter at 44.5-45 degree side (b). Also use the km-340-13 cutter for a 30 degree upper angle (a). And finally use the bm-340-26 cutter at 60 degree (c). Check the Cylinder Head after cleaning and measure valve seat width to validate it falls within allowed dimensions of 1.17 to 1.57 mm for intake and 1.4 to 1.8 mm for exhaust.
