How to replace the Back Up Light Switch on a Tremec 6-Speed manual transmission on Chevrolet Camaro?

A suitable procedure to change the back up lamp switch on a tremec 6-speed manual transmission begins with properly supporting the vehicle at a raised position. Use tools to disconnect the back up lamp switch electrical connector and extract the back up lamp switch wire harness from its bracket. Use a snap-on(TM)vsm5222 22 mm angle head open end wrench or equivalent tool to remove the back up lamp switch . Using gm p/n 1052080 or equivalent pipe sealant with teflon® you should apply it to the back up lamp switch threads then secure the back up lamp switch with 27 nm (20 lb ft) torque. Before lowering the vehicle attach the back up lamp switch wire harness to its bracket then connect the back up lamp switch electrical connector .
