You should employ a grease pencil or appropriate marking instrument to label the latch position on the radiator support. The first step consists of removing both the Hood Latch support along with all the bolts that connect the latch to the radiator support . First disconnect the Hood Latch cable from the latch before taking out the latch from your vehicle. The Hood Latch installation requires attaching the cable to its latch before placing it at the marked spot on the radiator support. The radiator support bolts need to be installed into their respective position before tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Secure the Hood Latch support into position while using bolts that you will tighten to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Before closing the hood check the operation of the latch while making sure the latch aligns correctly with the hood striker and needs adjustment if required. Finally, reinstall the grille.
