    A: You need to empty the cooling system before changing the Thermostat Housing of llv and llr models (2.9L, 3.7L). Use j 38185 hose clamp pliers to detach the radiator outlet hose from the Thermostat Housing after placing the tool onto the clamp. Begin by removing the power steering pump bracket followed by the Thermostat Housing bolts before separating the housing from the Cylinder Head. Both the Thermostat Housing and Cylinder Head sealing surface require inspection after cleaning. Start by mounting the Thermostat Housing correctly onto the Cylinder Head while keeping to fastener cautions then bolt it and apply a torque of 10 nm (89 lb in). Reinstall the power steering pump bracket before using the j 38185 hose clamp pliers to connect the radiator outlet hose to the Thermostat Housing. Then complete the operation by filling the cooling system. After starting the engine proceed with a leak inspection of all sealing surfaces.
