Chevrolet K3500 Headlight Bulb Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the front headlight bulb on Chevrolet K3500?
A: The solution to replace headlamp bulbs starts by turning off the headlamp switch while waiting for the bulb to reach normal temperature. Use protective eyewear when handling the bulb and maintain contact with its base only because touching the glass leads to harm. The bulb's cleanliness along with dry condition should be maintained while proper disposal methods must be followed for used equipment. First reach in from the engine compartment to twist the bulb counterclockwise and pull it out from the headlamp capsules. Start by unfastening the 2 long screws from the radiator support top then draw forward the headlamp assembly. The burnt-out bulb assembly should have its electrical connection disconnected. Substitution occurs by replacing high beam bulbs with red gasket versions and low beam bulbs with gray tip bulbs featuring yellow gaskets at their base. Insert the new bulb assembly into the headlamp assembly with clockwise rotation to face down the connector. First, plug the electrical connector into the bulb assembly followed by reinstallation of the headlamp assembly and fastening completion using the 2 long screws applied to the radiator support's top area for tight installation.
