Chevrolet S10 A/C Compressor Cut-Out Switches Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Replace A/C Compressor Cut-Out Switches on Chevrolet S10?
A: The first step for a/c high pressure switch replacement demands refrigerant removing from the a/c system. The next step requires removing the air cleaner outlet duct before detaching the electrical connector from the a/c high pressure switch. Start the task by removing the a/c high pressure switch connector retaining ring followed by the removal of the a/c high pressure switch from the A/C Compressor. To install the a/c high pressure switch insert it properly onto the A/C Compressor before tightening it with the connector retaining ring. Secure the electrical connector of the high pressure switch before reinstalling the air cleaner outlet duct. The a/c system evacuation and recharging process should be completed while using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) to conduct fittings leak tests.
