  A: The first step to replace a cab/chassis front filler tube requires the relief of fuel system pressure. Rear auxiliary tank owners should disconnect the fuel and EVAP emission quick connections then apply caps to fuel delivery and EVAP system pipes to stop contamination. To replace the filler tube on a cab/chassis front you should first uncouple the fuel fill pipe clamp and the vent pipe clamp at the tank before you remove the fuel fill pipe and vent pipe from the tank while using caps to prevent contamination. Before installation begin by removing fuel and vent closure caps from the tank. Install both the fuel fill pipe together with the vent pipe into the tank's openings. To secure the tank properly attach the clamps on the vent pipe and fuel fill pipe with 2.5 N.m (22 lb in) torque. The end of the fuel feed and EVAP pipes should lose their caps during the installation while reconnecting the fuel and EVAP quick connect fittings when possible.
