How to replace the canister purge valves on GMC Acadia?

To swap out the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve, it is first necessary to remove the fuel injector sight shield. Remove the chassis evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe quick connect fitting from the evap canister purge solenoid valve and the engine wiring harness electric connector from the valve. Then, remove the clip that is holding the evap canister purge tube quick connect fitting to the lower Intake Manifold, then remove the evap canister purge solenoid valve bracket bolt. Remove the evap canister purge solenoid valve (w/bracket) and evap canister purge tube, disconnecting the evap canister purge tube quick connect fitting from the valve. For installation, attach evap canister purge tube quick connect fitting to the evap canister purge solenoid valve and locate valve bracket to upper Intake Manifold. Mount the evap canister purge solenoid valve bracket bolt, then tighten down to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Connect the evap canister purge tube quick connect fitting at the upper Intake Manifold, the engine wiring harness electrical to connect to valve and finally, connect the chassis evap pipe quick connect fit(chain) to the valve. Finally, install the fuel injection sight shield.
