  The sequence for Parking Brake Shoe replacement starts with suspension of the vehicle followed by wheel assembly and rotor removal. First retract the shoe adjuster to achieve removal access before taking out the upper retainer spring together with the shoe adjuster. To remove the rear park Brake Shoe hold down spring and lower park Brake Shoe retainer spring first compress the component by 1/4 turn with a twisting motion. To take out the front park Brake Shoe perform the same process by rotating and compressing the front park Brake Shoe hold down spring by 1/4 turn. Dispose all waste substances from the backing plate then sanitize and dry it with denatured alcohol or suitable substitute. Apply high temperature brake lubricant to the Brake Backing Plate contact areas on park brake shoes before installing the front piece properly into the actuator mechanism. Place the front park Brake Shoe hold down spring into position by compressing it 1/4 turn before positioning the rear park Brake Shoe then the lower park Brake Shoe retainer spring inside the park brake actuator. Follow this procedure to install rear park Brake Shoe hold down spring : compress and rotate it by 1/4 turn before putting on the park Brake Shoe adjuster and the upper park Brake Shoe retainer spring . Finally, adjust the park brake.
