How to replace the cruise control switch on GMC Canyon?

Always disconnect the cruise release switch's electrical connector at the beginning of replacing the cruise control release switch. Take the switch off the brake pedal bracket by turning the switch counterclockwise, pulling it off the retainer, and pressing the locking tabs in. After that, put the electrical connector onto the cruise release switch and make any height adjustments needed.
