Treat the maf/iat sensor with extreme care because damage to the screen at the air inlet end can occur; avoid all contact with the sensing elements by using spo p/n 12345884 lubricant or its soap-based equivalent to help with the installation. The following step requires users to unfasten the clamp at the maf/iat sensor position on the air cleaner box then take out this maf/iat sensor. The maf/iat sensor installation requires direction of the arrow toward the air cleaner box during sensor placement followed by maf/iat sensor clamp tightening at the air cleaner box to 4 n.m (35 lb in). After reconnecting the air cleaner outlet duct to maf/iat sensor you must fasten the clamp to 4 n.m (35 lb in) before securing the maf/iat sensor electrical connector.
