How to replace the alternator bracket on GMC Yukon XL 1500?

Start by taking out the generator bracket bolts from the battery cable junction block bracket followed by removing both the Power Steering Pump and generator. The second step requires removal of the generator bolts followed by the removal of the generator bracket. During generator bracket installation first follow the service precautions for fastener notice before proceeding with the steps. After placing the generator bracket bolts in position you should tighten them to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Follow this step by reinstalling the Power Steering Pump along with the generator before securing the battery cable junction block bracket bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in).
