How to replace the hood latch on GMC Yukon XL 2500?

A car owner must begin by lifting up the hood before they remove the upper radiator support baffle. The hood release latch should have its two bolts removed before disconnecting any present hood ajar indicator switch connectors. The hood release cable end needs removal from the latch before taking out the hood release latch from the vehicle. Installation requires connection of the hood ajar indicator switch connector with the hood release cable end and the fitting of the hood release latch to the respective components. Replace the Hood Latch onto the radiator support while keeping the two Hood Latch bolts loosely installed. The Hood Latch height needs adjustment for proper hood retention against the front hood bumpers during closure. You should adjust front hood bumpers for level flush with the fenders before tightening Hood Latch bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Put back the upper radiator support baffle as the final step.
