Catalytic Converter

First remove Catalytic Converter by lifting up the vehicle and support it. Secondly, disconnect the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector. Sweep the nuts off the exhaust manifold pipe and the exhaust manifold pipe gasket . Support on the exhaust system then remove the Catalytic Converter nuts and hangers then Catalytic Converter itself and its gasket in that order. Check and clean the mating areas of the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe gasket remove the ho2s. Starting with installation, install the ho2s while ensuring the Catalytic Converter assembly is supported to prevent internal damage with vertical movement at most of 6 degrees. Mount the new gasket onto the exhaust pipe studs then support and mount the Catalytic Converter and selling the nuts till it is tightened to 60nm (44 lb ft). Next, change the new exhaust manifold pipe gasket and exhaust manifold pipe stud nuts , which should be tightened on 35 n.m (26 lb ft). Replace the Catalytic Converter hangers, remove the support from the exhaust system, and also put the ho2s electrical connector. Lastly, check the exhaust system against leakage and underbody contact before dropping the vehicle.
