Control Module

Service and repair operations for the ABS Control Module require dismissing the ignition switch to the off position in order to safeguard equipment components. Start by removing the engine compartment housing of the air cleaner and follow with the removal of the red locking tab situated on the connector lock tab. The sliding connector cover needs to be positioned to the open position while pushing down on the lock tab to disconnect the ABS Control Module harness connector. Clear the assembly components before disconnecting the master cylinder mount nuts while placing the master cylinder in position without detaching the brake pipes. Separate the ABS Control Module from the bpmv by removing four screws while ensuring the use of tools keeps everything in place and the bpmv surface intact and solenoid valves free of damage. Use gentle force to remove the ABS Control Module away from the bpmv until the two components separate. You must clean the bpmv surface after spraying it with alcohol using a clean rag before installing the ABS Control Module onto the bpmv and fastening it with the four screws which require tightening at 5 nm (44 inch lbs.). Attach the master cylinder to the Brake Booster by using and tightening mount nuts at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Refit the ABS Control Module harness connector by locking the tab then return the sliding connector protector into its blocking position before inserting the red locking mechanism. Complete the installation of the air cleaner housing then activate the ignition switch to run mode while maintaining engine and run the a diagnostic system check - abs.
