    Q:
How to replace the A/C Accumulator on Buick Park Avenue? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of an air conditioning (A/C) accumulator begins with refrigerant recovery before you detach fittings located at both ends of the A/C Accumulator assembly. Detach the A/C Accumulator which is situated on the line and push out the o-rings. Before placing o-rings onto the new accumulator you should lubricate them with 525 viscosity mineral base oil. During new A/C Accumulator setup direct the arrow in the direction of the Evaporator before tightening fittings until the a/c line reaches the bottom of the accumulator while securing the nuts to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Per the last step evacuate the a/c system before recharging it while using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) to evaluate changes in the fittings.
