Pilot Bearing

Start by removing the manual transaxle from the vehicle then proceed with removing the clutch Pressure Plate together with the Clutch Disc. The technician requires the tools j34839 pinion bearing remover, j37764 Pilot Bearing remover adapter, j23907 clutch Pilot Bearing remover to remove the clutch Pilot Bearing . After removal of the clutch Pilot Bearing check for scars on the bearing before thoroughly inspecting for binding or damage. Use the combination of j34848 clutch Pilot Bearing installer along with j36190 drive handle to correctly place the clutch Pilot Bearing within the Crankshaft area. The installation process for Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate should follow manual transaxle assembly reinstallation back into the vehicle.

The first procedure to service and repair the Pilot Bearing includes extracting the manual Transmission Assembly from the vehicle. The service begins by removing the Pressure Plate together with the Clutch Disc from around the Flywheel. You can remove the clutch Pilot Bearing from the Crankshaft through the use of j 37764 Pilot Bearing remover adapter (J 37764), j 34839 pinion bearing remover (J 34839), and j 23907 clutch Pilot Bearing remover (J 23907). Evaluate the removed bearing for scoring, binding, and rough operation before determining whether to replace it. Install the clutch bearing into the Crankshaft by using j 34848 clutch Pilot Bearing installer (J 34848) with j 7079-2 driver handle (J 7079-2). The Clutch Disc together with the Pressure Plate should be installed onto the Flywheel followed by reinstallation of the manual Transmission Assembly.
