The headrest guide loop fastener should be removed from the seat back before extracting the belt from the guide and afterward removing the quarter trim panel. First cut the shoulder belt screw from its position on the headlining before you free the shoulder strap from the escutcheon opening. Remove the courtesy/reading lamps from the vehicle through careful handling that prevents damage to the headliner. Lower the rear edge of the headliner when needed to access roof retractor bolts before removing them and the shoulder retractor. You should start by attaching the shoulder belt retractor with bolts before tightening them to 24 N.m (18 lb ft). Following the headliner installation the reading and courtesy lamps should be reinstalled while the shoulder belt receives placement into the headlining escutcheon. Tighten the escutcheon screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in). The quarter trim panel goes into the guide loop with the seat belt and you must fasten the guide loop screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in). Position the retractor anti-rotation tab through the inner rocker panel hole and proceed to mount the floor retractor along with its bolt to a torque of 41 N.m. The carpet retainer installation should be followed by relocating the seat.
