    There is need to turn off the ignition when hooking or unhooking the battery wires since this may affect another electronic component such as the pcm. Open the transition block Battery Cable protectors and work on removing the negative then positive Battery Cable from the transition block. Unscrew the nut that holds the battery retainer, this retainer itself and then the battery itself. Next, disconnect the negative transition block from the battery and the positive transition block from the battery. For installation, install the positive transition block on the positive terminal of the battery located on the battery side and tighten the positive transition block cable fastener to 14 n.m (11 lb ft). Then proceed to install the negative transition block cable at the negative battery terminal positioned at the side of the battery, and tighten the negative transition block cable fastener to 14 n.m (11 lb ft). Mount the battery into the vehicle, battery retainer and battery retainer nut after that, as well as tighten the nut with 17 n.m (13 lb ft). Connect the positive Battery Cable to the positive transition block and tighten the cable nut to 14 n.m (11 lb ft) respectively and finally negative Battery Cable connect the negative transition block also tighten the cable nut to 14 n.m (11 lb ft).
