How to Replace an Antenna Cable on Chevrolet Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Follow these steps to change the Antenna Cable: first take off the rear upper quarter trim panel followed by disconnecting the Antenna Cable from the radio antenna module. Begin by taking off the rear seat cushion followed by removing the rear seat back then proceed to detach the left carpet retainers and lower center pillar trim panel. You need to move the carpet aside before you detach the Antenna Cable from the antenna extension cable. Remove the exposed cable ends by cutting them off from the wiring harness located in the kick panel area and from the rear shelf area. During the installation process attach the Antenna Cable to the vehicle through electrical tape before mounting the antenna extension cable to the wiring harness top where it should be secured at least every 150 mm (6 in). The Antenna Cable includes a feature with sliding snap-lock functionality that needs careful handling to properly install the system. Route the antenna extension cable through the radio connection to the Antenna Cable in the kick panel area while positioning it behind the sliding lock feature and installing it to the sliding lock. Reinstall carpet w.a.l.ce full pillar tr.ro.i.m panel w.a.l.ce left carpet retainer mounts seat back then seat cushion. Connect the Antenna Cable to the radio antenna module through installation of the sliding lock feature which requires positioning behind this lock before locking it into place and reinstalling the rear upper quarter trim panel.
