    Q:
How to Replace an Antenna Cable on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Antenna Cable, one has to remove the right front door sill plate, the right hinge pillar trim panel, and the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door. Pull the grommet from the hinge pillar in an outbound manner after disconnecting the radio Antenna Cable from the extension cable. Connect to the mechanics wire to the Antenna Cable and take off the Antenna mast and the screws of the Antenna Base. Remove the grommet and cord from the routing hole as well as remove the cable of the Antenna from the vehicle and leave the mechanics wire intact for assembly. For installation, connect the mechanics wire to the end of the Antenna Cable and then pull on it over it to route the cable and grommet through the hinge pillar. Screw on the screws holding the Antenna Base, where the tightening is 7.5 n.m (66 lb in) and then install the Antenna mast. Take off the mechanics wire from the Antenna Cable, plug the grommet from the hinge pillar, and attach the radio Antenna Cable to the extension cable. Lastly, install the i/p compartment door, the right hinge pillar trim panel and the right front door sill plate.
