    For battery positive cable replacement starting from battery to junction block you must first lift the vehicle and remove bolts from the rear battery cover together with the cover piece. Remove the positive battery cable after disconnecting the negative and positive battery cables and taking the cable out from the wire loom on top of the right side frame rail. Open the hood after lowering the vehicle so you can remove the junction box nut which maintains the positive battery cable followed by removing the cable from wire looms beneath the hood. Raising the vehicle lets you entirely extract the positive battery cable. The first step for installation involves mounting the positive battery cable onto the vehicle and then lowering it. The installation of the positive battery cable should go to the wire looms underneath the hood while following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Connect and install the positive cable with its included nut at the junction box while twisting the nut until it reaches 6 N.m (53 lb in). First close the hood then raise the vehicle and finally connect the positive battery cable to locations on top of the right side frame rail. Connect battery cables and then install the rear battery cover followed by tightening its nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in) before the vehicle lower.
