    Q:
How to replace the antenna cable on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
One should start by removing the right instrument panel (IP) insulator followed by pulling back the right side of the carpet to expose the wiring harness. Separate the IP antenna extension from body harness antenna extension before removing the IP compartment and radio unit. Follow the cable route of the IP antenna extension cable and remove visible cable ends starting from the radio and front door hinge pillar where it leaves the IP wiring harness. Secure the new antenna extension cable to the harness every 150mm along its length for protection by running it through the wiring harness properly while securing it with electrical tape. Reconnect the IP antenna extension cable to both the radio system then replace the radio into the vehicle. Next attach the IP antenna extension cable to the body harness antenna extension cable which can be found at the front door hinge pillar before reinstalling the IP compartment and both the right IP insulator along with the right carpet.
