    Q:
How to replace the rear door window channel retainer on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to take apart the top part of the rear door frame appliques on an Impala before starting with the replacement of the rear door window channel retainer. For access to rivets in the rear door window channel you must pull down on the channel. Disassemble the rear window channel retainer by removing its forward screw and extracting the retainer from inside the rear door. Place the rear window weather strip retainer next to position before applying downward pressure to the rear door window channel to get access to the rivet holes. The weather strip retainer rivets need to be installed while the rear door frame applique must be restored in its original place.
