    Q:
How to replace the rear door front window channel on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
The procedure for replacing the rear door front window channel begins by fully raising the window before taking off the door trim panel and door module and water deflector. Remove first the upper fastener that functions as both the door applique lower fastener and then work to free the lower fastener of the same assembly. After sliding downward the window channel assembly the upper bracket needs to clear the door applique before removing the front window channel separating from the door unit. You should put the front window channel into the door beginning with the top end before inserting the lower fastener into the keyhole slot. The top rear corner of the front window channel needs to be turned backwards while the lower edge of the window must be aligned properly before tightening the upper fastener to 2 N.m (18 lb in). After that install the lower fastener but tighten it to 9 N.m (80 lb in). To complete the process reinstall the water deflector while also putting back the door module and door trim panel.
