    Q:
How to Replace Rear Door Moldings on Chevrolet Tracker? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process starts by assembling a Body Molding Removal Tool (J 41409) as part of the tool set to replace rear door body side moldings. Start with masking tape across the body side border to guard the molding from damage and enable correct alignment of rear side door molding to front side door molding while installing. You should avoid overheating this part. Warming of the rear side door and molding requires an auxiliary heat supply when the vehicle body temperature remains under 21°C (70°F). The Body Molding Removal Tool (J 41409) enables users to cut adhesive material and extract the molding from vehicles. Use a 50 percent isopropyl alcohol and 50 percent water solution to clean the rear side door area before completely drying it for molding installation. Place adhesive tape on the molding during application in an unrestricted dust environment to achieve optimum bonding. Continued cooling of the vehicle body to less than 21°C (70°F) requires additional warmth on the rear side door. After removal of the adhesive tape release sheet apply the molding to the rear side door by employing the masking tape as positioning tool. Use equal and controlled pressure along the length of the molding to achieve an even bond against the rear side door.

    Q:
How to replace the rear side lower door moldings on LT on Chevrolet Tracker? Posted by Customer
    A:
LT model rear side door lower moldings require release through seven plastic retainers attached by bottom-speaking initiation using taped flat bladed tools or taped trim tools. Separate the lower rear door molding from the vehicle and extract the 7 plastic retainers that secure the rear door area or the molding. Attach the 7 plastic retainers beginning from the bottom to the rear side door lower molding during the installation process. Replace any retainers which became damaged during removal. The final step requires you to install the rear side door lower molding back onto the rear door while pressing each plastic retainer into its proper place.
