Condenser

The condenser replacement for heavy-duty cooling systems needs a refrigerant recovery process as the initial step. Measure the newly installed fittings with a halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) for leaks. Start by taking out the Power Steering Cooler mounting bolts before raising your vehicle for support. Start by taking off the front air deflector retainers with the front air deflector and continue by removing the lower air baffle push pin retainers. Start by removing the upper bolts from the condenser bracket then the lower mounting bolts. Unbolt the discharge line and separate it from the condenser while discarding the o-ring. Disassemble the condenser tube bolt to disconnect the tube from the condenser unit while throwing away the o-ring. Move the Power Steering Cooler to the side for access to remove the condenser. When installing a new condenser add pag oil according to the specified amount directly to the condenser's chamber. Position the Power Steering Cooler before placing the new condenser into position. Fit a fresh o-ring to the condenser tube before connecting the tube to the condenser using a condenser tube bolt with torque set to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Attach a new o-ring to the discharge line before connecting it to the condenser and tightening it with the discharge line bolt up to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Begin by fastening the condenser lower mounting bolts to 5.4 n.m (48 lb in) torque and then torque the upper bracket bolts to the same value. Install the lower air deflector push pin retainers followed by the front air deflector and its retainers. After lowering the vehicle put in the Power Steering Cooler mounting bolts. The a/c system evacuation and recharging process should end by conducting fitting leak tests through the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).

Scrub the air conditioning condenser to be removed and then recover the refrigerant. Then un-mount the Power Steering Cooler bolts and then lift and hold the vehicle. Second, pull off the retainers for the front air deflector and the front air deflector, after which you will pull out the lower air baffle push pin retainers. Unbolt the condenser upper bracket bolts, the condenser lower mounting bolts, and the discharge line bolt prior to removing the discharge line from condenser and discarding the o-ring. Disconnect the condenser tubes from the condenser similar to the evaporator tube, and remove the condenser tube bolt and discard the o-ring. Move the Power Steering Cooler to the side in order to remove condenser when reinstalling power steering lines the steering lines would be hooked up to the pump on the motor using a few clamps to hold the lines in place. In the situation of a new condenser, transfer the specified volume of pag oil to it straight away. Replace the new condenser and reposition the Power Steering Cooler. Install a new o-ring to the condenser tube, attach it to the condenser and tighten the tube bolt of the condenser to 9 nm (80 lb in). To the discharge line, fit a new o-ring, attach it to the condenser, and the discharge line bolt should be tightened with 9 nm (80 lb in). Install the lower mounting bolt of the condenser and tighten it to 5.4 nm (48 lb in) and reinstall the top bracket bolts of the condenser by following the same measure. Mount the lower air baffle push pin retainers, the front air deflector, and the front air deflector retainers. Lower the vehicle and perform the installation of the Power Steering Cooler mounting bolts. Eventually, evacuate and recharge the a/c system, conduct a leak test on the fittings by use of the j 39400-a halogen leak detector.

To replace the condenser for heavy duty cooling system, start by recovering the refrigerant. Next, take off the Power Steering Cooler mounting bolts and lift and support the vehicle. Go ahead and take off the front air deflector retainers and front air deflector, and lower air baffle push pin retainers. Shear the condenser upper bracket bolts as well as the condenser lower mounting bolts and the discharge line bolt, then unbolt discharge line from the condenser and discard the o-ring. Loosen the condenser tube bolt and remove the condenser tube from the condenser and discard the o-rings too. Shove the Power Steering Cooler to one side of the car so that the condenser can be detached, then remove the condenser. In case of installing a new condenser, add the marked amount of pag oil to it. Install the new condenser, and place the Power Steering Cooler back in place. Install a new o-ring to the condenser tube, attach it to the condenser, and fix it with the condenser tube bolt, tightening the bolt to 9 n.m(80 lb.in). Then install a new o-ring to the discharge line, connect it with the condenser, and make it tight with the discharge line bolt tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Apply the condenser lower mounting bolts with tighten them up to 5.4 n.m (48 lb in) and then do the same thing with the condenser upper bracket bolts tighten them to 5.4 n.m (48 lb in). Refit the lower air baffle push pin retainers, the front air deflector and the front air deflector retainers. Lower the vehicle down and install the Power Steering Cooler mounting bolts. Lastly, evacuate and recharge the a/c system and conduct a leak test on the fittings of the component with the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).

Tighten the condenser lower mounting bolts to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

Discard the O-rings when disconnecting the discharge line and the condenser tube.

Install a new O-ring to the condenser tube, connect it to the condenser, and ensure the condenser tube bolt is tightened to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

Reposition the power steering cooler aside.

Add the specified amount of PAG oil directly to it.

Remove the power steering cooler line to condenser retaining bolts and take out the condenser.

Add the specified amount of PAG oil directly to it.

Remove the front air deflector retainers and the front air deflector, followed by the lower air baffle push pin retainers.

Remove the condenser upper bracket bolts, the condenser lower mounting bolts, and the discharge line bolt.
