First block the wheels then remove rubber ash tray inserts and console's rubber mat followed by the floor shift control knob. Oldsmobile owners need to detach both their Center Console shift lever bezel and the console storage compartment to proceed. First remove the Center Console retaining screws before preparing the parking brake to full engagement. Release the two forward trim extension ears that attach to the lower ip for oldsmobile models only before sliding the console back and raising the rear unit to reach and disconnect electrical connectors when needed. The braking mechanism should be positioned halfway before the console can be taken out of the vehicle. Begin installation by placing the Center Console properly in the vehicle next to fully engaging the parking brake before completing electrical connector reattachment. Lower the console rear while guiding it forward until its two retaining ears on the front extensions connect with the lower ip panel of oldsmobile models. Secure the Center Console retaining screws at 2.5 n.m (22 lb in) torque levels then add the console storage compartment and Center Console shift lever bezel and floor shift control knob in sequence. After reinstalling the rubber mat and ash tray inserts to the console you should remove the blocks from your vehicle.
