Disconnect and remove both the linear shift assembly's shift lever and seal through the process of sliding the seal towards its narrow shift lever section. First put the shift lever seal in position on the small section of the shift lever assembly and next reinstall the assembly into the linear shift system. Screw the shift lever screw into the shift lever assembly before tightening it to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Slowly guide the shift lever seal to reach the bottom of the shift lever assembly and position it against the steering column trim covers. Enable the sir system after installing the steering column trim covers when required.

Implement the shift lever seal to the shift lever assembly before you connect the assembly to the linear shift assembly. The shift lever screw requires installation into the shift lever assembly with a torques setting up to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Place the shift lever seal at the bottom edge of the shift lever assembly before positioning it towards the steering column trim covers. The process should be completed by first reattaching steering column trim covers followed by sir system activation.
