    Q:
How to replace the engine oil cooler on Buick Terraza? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to drain the cooling system first before you remove the radiator air baffle when replacing the Engine Oil Cooler unit. A suitable drain pan should catch dripping liquid while you remove the Oil Filter. You must reposition the Oil Cooler outlet hose clamp on the Oil Cooler before you detach the hose from its position on the cooler fitting. Start by unclamping and pulling the engine mounted Oil Cooler inlet hose off its engine connection. The first step should be disconnecting the Oil Cooler connector before removing the Oil Cooler and its gasket from the Oil Filter adapter. The first step is to clamp and detach the Oil Cooler inlet hose from its position at the Oil Cooler. The installation process requires Oil Cooler inlet hose installation to the Oil Cooler and secure the Oil Cooler inlet hose clamp in position at the Oil Cooler. Position the new Oil Cooler gasket onto the Oil Cooler before attaching the gasket along with the Oil Cooler to the Oil Filter adapter. Be sure to follow all fastener notice requirements. Secure the Oil Cooler connector with a torque of 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Position the Oil Cooler inlet hose clamp at the engine as you install the outlet hose to the engine fitting. You should attach the Oil Cooler outlet hose to its fitting while installing the outlet hose clamp on the Oil Cooler. Fasten the Oil Filter installation with 30 n.m (22 lb ft) torque. After removing the Oil Filter drain pan reinstall the radiator air baffle then fill the cooling system as well as checking and filling the crankcase if needed.

    Q:
How to replace the engine oil cooler on Chevrolet Uplander? Posted by Customer
    A:
The cooling system drainage process starts as the first step toward Engine Oil Cooler replacement. Start by placing a drain pan under the Oil Filter followed by removal of the Oil Filter after removing the radiator air baffle. Use a screwdriver to loosen the outlet hose clamp on the Oil Cooler before removing the outlet hose from its connection. Grease the inlet hose clamp at the engine before you remove the hose from the engine fitting. You need to disconnect the Oil Cooler connector then remove the Oil Cooler and its gasket from the Oil Filter adapter. To install a new Oil Cooler connect the inlet hose to the cooler and tighten the clamp around it. Fit a new Oil Cooler gasket onto the Oil Cooler and join the Oil Cooler assembly to the Oil Filter adapter while tightening the connector to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The first step involves installing the engine fitting end of the Oil Cooler inlet hose and clamping it into place. Then attach the outlet hose to its Oil Cooler fitting. Fasten the new Oil Filter with 30 n.m torque (22 lb ft) before removing the Oil Filter drain container. Reinstall the radiator air baffle after filling the cooling system and performing any required crankcase fluid addition.
