    Q:
How to replace the auxiliary transmission oil cooler (TOC) on Cadillac XLR? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for Transmission Oil Cooler replacement requires vehicle elevation and suspension support. First remove the wheelhouse panel while you disconnect the auxiliary lower transmission line that runs to the Transmission Oil Cooler. Take the lower Transmission Oil Cooler line and the Radiator to auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler line off the Transmission Oil Cooler. You should remove the Transmission Oil Cooler retaining bolts followed by extracting the Transmission Oil Cooler from the vehicle. When inserting the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler into the vehicle position it and tighten its bolts to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Beginning with the installation of the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler retaining bolts, continue the process through Radiator to Transmission Oil Cooler line installation on auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler before attending to the lower Transmission Oil Cooler line. Once done, you can place the wheelhouse panel back into position and perform the vehicle lowering procedure while completing fluid transmission filling.
