    Q:
How to replace the Front Cross-Member and Rear Crossmember on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
First step is to remove the lower control arms before you can replace the crossmember. For the engine support process use these tools: j 41044 engine support adapters, j 42451 engine support adapter kit, j 28467-b universal support fixture, j 36462-a engine support adapter. Steering gear and engine mounts need to be removed from the vehicle. Separate the brake pipe clip bolt that exists on the passenger crossmember side then remove the brake pipe clip bolt which is on the driver side. Begin by disconnecting the wheel speed sensor electrical connector then remove the harness clip from the crossmember before removing all harness clips from the crossmember. After removing the crossmember bolts from the brake pipes you can extract the crossmember from the vehicle. Put the crossmember in its correct position inside the vehicle then place the brake pipes onto it. Screw in the crossmember bolts then tighten the lower bolts to 125 n.m (92 lb ft) and the upper bolts to 145 n.m (107 lb ft). Reinstall the harness clips on the crossmember before linking the wheel speed sensor electrical connector. To install these clips the harness clip should mount to the crossmember and the brake pipe clip bolt should screw into the driver-side location before tightening it to 13 n.m (115 lb in). Loosen the clip bolt on the brake pipe at the crossmember's passenger side before tightening it to 13 n.m (115 lb in). Before closing you must reinstall the steering gear alongside engine mounts and lower control arms followed by the removal of j 41044, j 42451, j 28467-b, and j 36462-a components.
