Before disconnecting the negative Battery Cable it is important to ensure that the Ignition Switch is set to off mode because this prevents control module activation and dtcs from appearing. Rely on at least 2 minutes after powering down the ignition to allow all high-speed lan control modules to shut down fully. First disconnect the negative Battery Cable then raise the vehicle and create support before removing the front air deflector shield. Access the ABS Control Module by taking off the fasteners of the washer solvent container and placing it in a safe position. The cleaning process happens around the ABS Control Module before continuing to release the electrical connector by activating the retaining tab and moving the locking lever to the front orientation. The ABS Control Module installation requires removal of its screws before disconnecting it from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). After cleaning the sealing surfaces of the ABS Control Module and bpmv, install the ABS Control Module to the bpmv and fasten it with ABS Control Module screws which must be tightened to 3 n.m (26 lb in) in sequence (1-4). The worker should follow these steps for the ABS Control Module installation process: connect the ABS Control Module electrical connector followed by using the washer solvent container then fasten the components before installing the front air deflector shield. Programming of the new ABS Control Module can proceed if it is installed while lowering the vehicle. The last step should be the execution of the diagnostic system check - vehicle.

First, install the BPMV and secure it with the BPMV bolt tightened to 12 Nm (106 lb in).
