    As a first step to replace the front fender splash shield, begin by taking out the front wheel assembly. You must detach the front fascia extension afterward before moving on. The front fender splash shield can be removed by unfastening fasteners 2 and 3 from its upper fender installation and unfastening fasteners from its lower rocker panel position. Move on to removing two upper fasteners at the front extension until the front fender splash shield becomes free from inside the inner fender. The front fender splash shield should be placed onto the inner fender before securing it with the upper fender fastener to maintain its position. To begin, push in the fasteners into the wheelhouse attachment points before tapping in the two fasteners to the front extension. Install the fasteners to the front fender splash shield by fastening it to the rocker panel molding and tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in). The final step includes reinstallation of the front fascia extension as well as the front wheel assembly.
