    Q:
How to Replace Coil Springs on a Front-Wheel-Drive Without an Axle on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
To change the coil spring of a front-wheel-drive vehicle without an axle, start by lifting and supporting the car. Take off the wheel and tire assemblies, the Brake Calipers, parking brake cable mounting bracket, and brake caliper mounting bracket. Dismount the abs electrical connector as well as its mounting bracket. Have the utility jack take support of the lower Control Arm then proceed to take off the stabilizer link from the lower Control Arm. Use the tool-j 41820 Ball Joint/stud separator (J41820) to separate the Ball Joint from the knuckle. Lower the lower Control Arm using the utility jack to relieve the tension on the coil spring and take off the coil spring. For the installation, install the new coil spring and use the utility jack to lift the lower Control Arm, loading the suspension. Incorporate the Ball Joint to its position respectively on the knuckle by using the j 41820 (J 41820), use the stabilizer link to attach onto the lower Control Arm, and then hold onto the lower Control Arm while using the utility jack. Reinstall the abs electrical connector mounting bracket, connect the abs electrical connector, install the brake caliper mounting bracket, parking brake cable mounting bracket, and Brake Calipers. Finally, install the wheel and tire assemblies and lower the vehicle.
