    Q:
How to replace the throttle body assembly on Chevrolet Aveo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Releasing the Throttle Body assembly requires first to disconnect the negative Battery Cable, and finally remove the air intake tube from the Throttle Body. Release the throttle cables by pulling the cable on the throttle and sliding it through the release slot, followed finally with the release of the vacuum hoses, throttle position (TP) sensor, and idle air control (IAC) valve connectors. Remove the coolant hoses as well as the Throttle Body retaining bolts, and remove the Throttle Body and throw gaskets away. Then take off the tp sensor and iac valve. But clean the gasket mating surface on the Intake Manifold gently to avoid the destruction of the sealing surfaces, and clean the Throttle Body without using immergence cleaners or the strong solvents that can damage the electric elements or seals. The use of wire brushes or sharp tools is forbidden, and one should not apply cleaners with methyl ethyl ketone. Attach tp sensor and the iac valve to place the Throttle Body assembly over the Intake Manifold with a new gasket, secure with the Throttle Body retaining bolts (15 N.m - 11 lb ft). Reinstall the coolant hoses, attach the vacuum hoses, and make sure throttle control cables don't hold throttle open by seeing that the accelerator pedal is free when the engine is off. Lastly, fix the air intake tube, plug the tp sensor and iac valve connectors, reconnect the negative Battery Cable, and fill the cooling system.
