    Q:
How to Service and Repair a Fuel Level Sensor Safely on Buick Park Avenue? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service technicians should first remove fuel system pressure before conducting work at the Fuel Level Sensor. Eliminate the fuel from the tank before starting the process of fuel sender assembly removal. The fuel strainer installation position should be checked before using one hand to support the reservoir while carefully holding the fuel strainer with the other. Position the fuel sender assembly upside down on a bench and then take off the fuel strainer. Examine the fuel strainer for contaminants and carry out a Fuel Tank cleanse while discarding the Fuel Level Sensor post-inspection. The installation process starts by removing the electrical connectors from both the Fuel Pump and cover assembly then proceeding to disconnect the Fuel Level Sensor assembly. When installing new parts always replace the fuel strainer which should be applied to the fuel sender or Fuel Level Sensor assembly. After compatible fuel strainer installation on fuel sender, perform quality check of both the Fuel Level Sensor and sender until complete seat is achieved. Then install the new assembly and connect electrical components to both pump and cover. Install the fuel sender assembly and add fuel while putting the Fuel Tank filler pipe cap into place for securing. Turn the ignition to on for two seconds followed by 10 seconds off before turning it on to evaluate for fuel leaks. As a final stage you should install the fuel injector sight shield.
