    How to replace the headlight assembly or headlight bulb or cornering, sidemarker, park, and turn signal bulb on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer

    Make sure both the headlamp switch and ignition switch remain in their disabled positions to access and replace the headlamp bulbs including cornering, sidemarker, and turn signals. Take out the front grille and unfasten the headlamp from its mounting points. To extract the bulb for park lamp, high beam headlamp, low beam headlamp, or DRL, Park and turn signal, and front side marker bulbs twist the bulbs 1/4 turn counterclockwise and disconnect the electrical connector. Fasten the electrical connector to the new bulb while pushing and rotating the park lamp , high beam headlamp , low beam headlamp , and DRL before turning the bulb clockwise 1/4 turn to secure it. Then tighten the headlamp bolts to 10 N.m (89 in lb) and reinstall them. Lastly check the headlamps work as intended before replacing the front grille. When working with halogen bulbs use protective equipment along with caution to prevent them from coming into contact with both skin and water.

    The first step for bulb replacement is to turn the headlamp switch to OFF and move the ignition switch to LOCK. Use a wrench to disconnect the headlamp from its installation and exterior grille. Twist the daytime running lamp or turn signal bulb 1/4 turn in the opposite direction to take it out from its position. Then remove the electrical connector from the low beam headlamp or high beam headlamp. Connect the electrical connector to the new bulb before pushing and turning the daytime running lamp , high beam headlamp , low beam headlamp , or turn signal bulb a quarter clockwise until it locks. Reinstall the bolts holding the headlamp and secure them at 10 N.m (89 in lb). End with a complete check of headlamp function and put back the front grille. You should treat new halogen bulbs with care by keeping them away from skin and water plus wearing protective eye gear.
