The first step to replace an air conditioning compressor hose requires a proper recovery of the refrigerant. Next, remove the left headlamp. The air conditioning compressor hose nut needs to be removed from the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube hose before separating the hose. Take the compressor hose nut and the compressor hose out from the condenser assembly. The replacement of the air conditioning compressor hose begins by raising the vehicle and disconnecting the electrical connector from the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor valve along with removing the compressor hose nut at the compressor in order to take out the compressor hose from its position. The compressor hose receives new sealing washers after discarding its existing washers. Install the new seal washers onto the compressor hose before you join the compressor hose with the compressor and tighten the compressor hose nut to 22 nm (16 lb ft). Connect the electric cable of the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor valve before lowering the vehicle. Position both parts of the compressor hose then install a new sealing washer on the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube hose to connect it with the compressor hose. Secure the compressor hose nut to the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube hose by tightening it to 22 nm (16 lb ft). The compressor hose requires a new sealing washer at the condenser before connecting it to the condenser and tightening the compressor hose nut to 22 nm (16 lb ft). Last operations include replacing the left headlamp then performing an a/c system recharge and inspecting all affected a/c joints with the tool j 39400-a.
