    Q:
How to replace the hydraulic hose on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process requires removal of the clutch Hydraulic Hose retaining clip from the Clutch Master Cylinder followed by proper sealing of the exposed hose and fittings with caps and plugging mechanisms. First disconnect the clutch Hydraulic Hose from its position at the Clutch Master Cylinder and elevate the vehicle before support. Begin the procedure by removing the clutch Hydraulic Hose retaining clip from the cowl and continuing with the clutch Hydraulic Hose retainer from the transmission and finishing with the clutch Hydraulic Hose retainer clip. There is no need to seal the lower hose end or slave cylinder fitting because check valves provide minimal fluid loss protection. Pull out the clutch Hydraulic Hose from the current vehicle. Install the clutch Hydraulic Hose by placing the clutch hydraulic retainer clip onto the cowl while securing the clutch Hydraulic Hose retaining clip to the Clutch Slave Cylinder. Position the clutch Hydraulic Hose in a path that rises above the Clutch Slave Cylinder while avoiding tight turns as well as downward sections and any contacts with hot or sharp objects. Put the clutch Hydraulic Hose locating tab into the notch of the slave cylinder hose fitting before gently pushing the hose into the Clutch Slave Cylinder until you hear a "click." when installing the hose retainer on the transmission use 20 nm (15 lb ft) torque until the hose can be checked for proper retention by applying gentle force on the clutch Hydraulic Hose. Position the vehicle at the lowest point before securing the clutch Hydraulic Hose retaining clip to the Clutch Master Cylinder. Continue pushing in the hose toward the Clutch Master Cylinder until it produces a distinct "click" sound. Further ensure proper hose retention by gently tugging the clutch Hydraulic Hose and move forward with the clutch hydraulic system bleeding process.

    Q:
How to properly replace and install brake lines on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
Replace brake pipes with double-walled steel types to avoid system failures and retain the new pipes properly by installing fasteners in their original placement. When segmenting brake pipes you must use matching original diameter double-walled steel pipes along with proper size fittings that create identical flare configurations. First assess the brake pipe area to fix and remove its retainers before choosing a spot for sectioning that offers enough space for the CH-45405 Brake Pipe Flaring Kit. Cut the brake pipe to replacement length along with flaring distances equal to 6.35mm (0.250 in) for 4.76mm (3/16 in) pipe, 9.50mm (0.374 in) for 6.35mm (1/4 in) pipe, and 12.67mm (0.499 in) for 7.94mm (5/16 in) pipe. Use the pipe cutter from CH-45405 - Brake Pipe Flaring Kit to cut the brake pipe into the precise measured length before selecting a set of brake pipe and tube nuts. Use the coating stripping tool from the kit to remove nylon coating from brake pipe ends but avoid damaging the metal surface. Use the de-burring tool to round both ends of the pipe before placing tube nuts on and removing all residue from the brake line and tool components. Tighten only the screw and choose the needed die set before inserting the die halves into the cage base. Push the modified pipe mouthpiece through the dies backside until it reaches its final position and take away the addition die. Action the lever to push the forming mandrel until it touches the clamping dies and then tighten their contact screw. Pull back the hydraulic forming ram then put in the finishing cone and complete the process by letting the cone bottom against the dies. To check the flare's specifications inspect the pipe with the dies pulled out: the diameter should measure between 6.74-7.10 mm (3/16') or 8.57-9.27 mm (1/4') or 10.42-10.79 mm (5/16'). Adjust the new pipe with a brake pipe bending equipment while keeping it 19 mm (3/4 in) away from all moving components during installation. Join the brake pipe to its place using the right connections then reattach it to its holders. Afterwards bleed the brake fluid system and search for leakages in the brake pipe connections under running engine power when brakes are engaged.
