Reservoir Hose

The service and repair of power steering line/hose requires disconnecting the negative Battery Cable as a first step. The power steering fluid reservoir and gear require placement of a drain pan before siphoning fluid for preventing excessive spillage. The service and repair of the power steering line/hose begins after removing the front fascia and cooling pipe retaining clips which are positioned on the crossmember and inside the engine compartment. For service or repair of the power steering fluid gear outlet hose you should detach the hose from its reservoir position before upholding and locking the vehicle. The power steering fluid cooling pipe connections can be reached easily by moving the electronic brake traction control module/brake pressure modulator valve (EBTCM) assembly without needing to open brake hydraulic systems or unmount the ebtcm assembly. Lower the car before removing the power steering cooling fluid pipe. The power steering fluid cooling pipe installation must be completed before the vehicle needs to be raised again for its support. Position and lower the vehicle then install the power steering fluid gear outlet hose at the reservoir. Fasten the cooling pipe retaining clips both to the crossmember and the engine compartment before installing the front fascia. To finalize the installation sequence you should attach the negative battery wire while performing power steering pressure reduction.

Raise and support the vehicle again to position the EBCM assembly before lowering the vehicle.
