    Q:
How to service and repair the sway bar bushing on Chevrolet Tracker? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the Sway Bar Bushing service and repair process by painting the sway bar shaft for creating match marks at both sides of the insulators. First detach the two bracket bolts that secure the Sway Bar Bushing insulator then remove both parts followed by the insulators. The paint match marks on the sway bar shaft should be positioned to meet the sway bar shaft insulators during installation. Wedge the Sway Bar Bushing insulator onto its position on the sway bar shaft when placing vehicle weight onto the tires and wheels. Check both the sway bar shaft while it is centered and verify that both insulators line up with their corresponding match marks. The sway bar links must be positioned neutrally when you observe them from above. The Sway Bar Bushing bracket must be fitted onto the sway bar shaft while you fasten it with two bolts. The final procedure requires tightening the Sway Bar Bushing bracket bolts to 23 nm (17 ft. Lbs. Torque).
