    Q:
How to replace the intake manifold on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace Intake Manifold you must preliminary process the fuel system pressure, remove alternative fuel module assembly, air cleaner inlet duct, resonator, and resonator bracket/fuel rail cover. Remove the vacuum hoses at the Throttle Body and removing the Throttle Body, removing the MAP Sensor and removal of Fuel Rail. Lift the vehicle and remove the evap purge solenoid, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, vss, knock sensor, back up lamp switch, o2 sensor, and the Oil Pressure Switch. Lower the vehicle, unocate the wiring harness and bearings off the attaching nuts and bolts, removing the Intake Manifold. Clean the mating surfaces to the Intake Manifold and the cylinder head, and examine the manifold for cracks and broken flanges and gasket surface damage. For installation position the intake manifolds assembly on the cylinder head so that it is fitted with bolts and nuts tightened 24 nm (17 ft. Lbs) and with studs 12 nm (107 inch lbs). Route the wiring harness, lift the vehicle once more, and reattach the evap purge solenoid, the camshaft sensor, the crankshaft sensor, vss, knock sensor, back up lamp switch, the Oxygen Sensor, and the Oil Pressure Switch. Install Fuel Rail, reconnect MAP Sensor and install Throttle Body, resonator bracket/fuel rail cover, resonator, and air cleaner inlet duct and end with the installation of the alternative fuel module assembly.
